Some Things To Do
The operative word being 'some'

Lerwick is quite small, but there are some things to do to keep you entertained. br / br /Unfortunately, Learning School usually comes to Shetland in the middle of Winter, so if you're walking down the mainstreet it is more than likely you will get caught in a gale/downpour/hailstorm/hurricane!! - If this is the case, grab a coffee or very nice hot chocolate in the Peerie Shop Cafe. Good for lunch as well. Other places to go include The Olive Tree in Bolts shopping centre or Oslas cafe for pancakes amongst other things. br / br /Any Learning School group is expected to sample the delights of Shetland nightlife - posers, baroc and the north star are a must if you want to dance. Be warned - the North Star is freezing, you can see your breath rising most of the time. Wear a cozy jumper! On the other hand, Baroc is like a sweaty day in the rainforest so don a bikini (Or something equally cooling!!) br / br /The Lounge is worth a visit, especially on a Wednesday, as there is live music. Flints is better for karaoke and cocktail pitchers, otherwise you can have a game of pool in the Thule. If you want to see live music etc. have a look in the Shetland Times newspaper - there might be something worth seeing, you never know! br / br /If you fancy a bit of history, head to the museum and definitely have a look around Clickimin broch. You could also head to Scalloway and visit the castle. br / br /The Clickimin leisure centre has been a hit this year, with members heading to the health suite and swimming pool, especially on a Sunday. The steam room is sometimes a welcome climate change. br / br /If its a nice day, take a walk round the knab, and if you're feeling brave you could even jump off the torpedo tubes - don't do this unless you have someone with you that knows how to get out, however. br / br /Eating out at night can be expensive, but if you want some really nice local cuisine go to Montys - I work there so might be slightly biased, but the food is delicious. br / br /Finally, if you can't think of anything else to do - take a roadtrip and see some of Shetland's beautiful scenery (If it isn't too foggy!) Failing that, have video nights, get everyone round and cook dinner or visit someone for a cup of tea. br / br /
